About Us
We are a local shop with Post Office based in Durnamuck, Dundonnell, and serve the community situated around Little Loch Broom.
The Dundonnell area is situated just south of Ullapool on the Wester Ross tourist route and is home to the famous An Teallach range as well as the spectacular Ardessie Falls. There are numerous routes for adventurous walkers to take across unspoilt mountain terrain and wonderful views along Little Loch Broom. It is just minutes from sandy beaches at Mungasdale and Gruinard and a short distance from the renowned Inverewe Gardens. The area is home to a wide variety of wildlife including wild goats, red squirrel and deer.
There are a number of self catering properties, bed and breakfast accommodation, hostels and camping facilities meeting the needs of a wide range of visitors. The area is also served by the Dundonnell Hotel, Maggie’s Tearoom at Camusnagaul and The Stepping Stones craft centre.
At Dundonnell Stores we cater for local trade and visitors alike and maintain a variety of stock to meet the demands of all our customers. We are always happy to source specific products and can provide a delivery service if requested. To find us, just turn off the A832 at Badcaul (approximately 6 miles west of Dundonnell) and we are 800 yards past the public telephone box.
